Planets

Nemesas-Absolat (Ice Planet)

Nemesas-Absolat is one of the coldest planets in the known universe. Known galaxy wide as the Ice Planet, temperatures here during the summer average 50 degrees below zero on the Fahrenheit scale. This is a planet of vast open seas and floating icebergs. The lack of variation in terrain height and the lack of tall vegetation do little to help protect the inhabitants from the bitter cold.

Survival here is rough and only the toughest species have survived. One of these species is the towering Amorks, who have developed thick fur which withstands the cold. Other species have also developed protective mechanisms: the Nemesas flying fish lunge attack from the great sea, dragging down nearby land creatures, and the Nemesas fish traps prey upon the flying fish.

Atoth (Desert Planet)

As the the home of the advanced Gyptee race, Atoth feels like ancient Egypt. That's because the Gyptees have adopted the ancient Egyptian culture as their own. Atoth’s multiple suns keep the sands burning and fuel the religious fervor of the Hathorite church. Atoth was once the most advanced civiliation in the galaxy but unfortunately due to its lack of natural resources its once great cities have seen their populations migrate to other more prosperous planets.

Because Atoth is one of the primary sources of light energy in the galaxy the Anubis Princess, Anupu Pharona, is careful to maintain the delicate balance with the planets of dark energy. Exactly how she does this is unknown. Theories abound that she inherited this power from her mother the Dark Queen, and that her gleaming staff holds the catalyst that can fuel this power.

Grustwid (Wind Planet)

Grustwid, or the Wind Planet as it is commonly known, is a ball of energy. The strong storms that cover the planet generate enormous electrical currents high in the atmosphere. The lightning storms terrify most visitors but the Sectaraien, the insect species common to the planet, don't seem to be bothered at all. In fact they built their lanes high in the clouds among the gusting wind and lighting strikes. The especially enjoy bowling during the Spring and Fall, when the voltaic storms on Grustwid are most fierce.

The buildings on Grustwid have been built to accommodate the great spaces needed by the Sectaraien hives. Since they fly high above the ground for all but brief spans of time, these structures tend to be built on high platforms and rarely have walls or even ceilings. This design allows the Sectaraien to hover about enjoying the open air before they returning to their hives for rest. The platforms also seem to have the ability to absorb some of the electrical energy from the storming skies, charging large batteries stored in their hives for future use.

Perditas Minor (Lost Planet)

The unfortunate history of Perditas Minor is now well known throughout the galaxy. Back some 65 million years ago an asteroid hit Earth, the result was a gaping hole near the Yucatan Penninsula. Launched into space the remanants of the collision became Perditas Minor. The once tropical land now froze in the vaccum of space but due to its size retained an atmosphere but sadly only a few of its inhabitants survived.

Perditas Minor is now an strange blend of tropical plants and icy landscape. The Meganausaurs eat what fruit is available, but still crave meat that was available to their ancestors on Earth. Of course if asked this they'd deny it immediately as they do not like being compared to those "barbaric ones". Meganausaurs spend most of their lives huddled underground sleeping and only venture outside into the cold when necessary.

Bleuxa (Underwater Planet)

A planet with no dry land might scare some people, but the Sigrimus prefer it that way. Bleuxa is home to a rare species of underwater plants that allow the eerie experience of breathing underwater. Known as Tillandsia Marianus, these plants give off so much oxygen that the water has become super staturated, which is helpful for its oxygen breathing visitors.

The fish of Bleuxa are similar to the ones in Earth's oceans. That is because during the Sigrimus' evolution they consumed the entire native fish population. With their oceans barren and the Sigrimus unwilling to feed on seaweed or the awful-tasting Tillandsia, they secretly transplanted fish from our planet to theirs. Now their oceans once again teem with life.

Molderoan (Lava Planet)

Molderoan is a wild and uniqure planet formed from the combined asteroids circling the Rose Nebula. This planet is covered in active volcanoes which may erupt at any time. Lava runs in steady streams across the landscape and ash often fills the air. Small pockets of livable land do exist, but they are few and far between. Regardless this was enough to spawn intelligent, well somewhat intelligent, life.

Finding food on Molderan is a challenge. Fortunately the Hoolawgokas don’t seem to mind eating lichen and mosses that spring up on the cooling lava flows. The Hoolawgokas have also adapted their hunting techniques to use these plants which attract insects and small creatures hidden away in nearby caves or small warm water pools that the lava streams tend to miss. This has allowed the Hoolawgoka tribes to survive even on this hellish landscape.

Orbia-Majaris (Warp Planet)

Orbia-Majaris isn't really a planet; it's more of a collection of wormholes gathered and bound together by an unknown alien civilization into a massive galactic clover-shaped highway. Numerous travelers pass through this terminal each day but they rarely stay since the planet is barren of water, plant life and all natural resources. A glass of water here will cost you a months salary or an arm and a leg; whichever the Lapskin-Worms can get from you first.

Galactic League bowlers frequent this stop in their travels and a thriving betting parlor has opened at the Nexus Hub Café and Alley. Convient isn't it that travelers can gamble and bowl before heading to their next destination? Sightseeing is also a big draw on Orbia-Majaris especially the Lapskin-Worms themselves. Mysterious and beautiful, these worms appear to partially reside in a parallel dimension. Evidence seems to indicate that the wormholes pass through their dimension, as mysterious bite marks sometimes appear on some unfortunate travelers.
